I had locks for 8 years. I took them out and had a beautiful curl pattern. This was the only salon I went to over the course of a few years to get my hair straightened and my curls have never been the same. I’ve been told they put relaxer in the deep conditioner and/or shampoo. Never going back.
I go to the salon two times every single year for a color and styling. I’ve never had such a worst experience of my life. When I walked in the salon, the lady who I normally go to she started playing in my hair and before she started coloring my hair, which she was combing it very rough. She put the color in my head and once the color need to be washed out she let some other lady do it with the assistance of another girl. When it was time for them to de-tangle my hair, it was the worst time of my life. While detangling it got so bad to the point where I asked them if I could comb my own head and I didn’t want them to rip out my hair anymore . They assumed that I didn’t speak Spanish because I’m black, but they were saying how my hair is tangled and it’s so hard to deal with and I shouldn’t have come into the salon like that. Now they were literally ripping out my hair (not detangling it, but ripping it apart with their hands, and pulling at my roots with a comb) she sent me to the chair so I can get my styling done. I went to the chair and my lady had another lady try to help and blow dry my hair so they could get done faster by time of closing. I didn’t like this because I only wanted my girl who normally does my hair in my head, but I didn’t want to start anything they started to pull my head and two totally different directions. The lady who came over to help was yanking out my hair while blow drying it. Once I had tears coming out, the lady who came over to help stopped. Overall, the customer service was terrible. I was being talked about the entire time. They made me feel like my hair texture wasn’t welcome because it inconvenienced them and they don’t know how to de-tangle textured hair without ripping it out. So much of my hair was ripped out and that’s what really makes me sad because it was a unnecessary amount. If they had just been a little bit more careful and use the right techniques to detangler hair. They wouldn’t have lost a customer.
They do microbeaded extentions, great service and tge shampoo woman is very nice! Very clean and doobies are like nyc ones. Amazing!
This is the best hair salon in Burlington County! The salon decor is beautiful and the staff if professional.
This is where my 2 girls and I have been doing our hair for couple months now. I went ther to get shampooed. First, this African girl shampooed me. I was then sent to a Spanish one to set . Was placed under the dryer for almost an h. That was fine but I started to ask what was happening as I had other engagements. This woman started yelling “ wait wait” there waiting for a while some one else came out and say wait for another 5 min. Finally this spanish woman came out started blowing my hair. I was talking on the phone. She began pulling my hair and burning my scalp while blowing . I kept pulling my hair and she pulls it back. I had to tell her _-“if u pull me hair one more time!! She started to yell. I must get out. I walking to the car and she said I have to pay . I just paid and left. I would not want my worst enemy to be around them. That was the last time I will ever go there. So sorry there was not a -0 so I could put it on there.
I have been a client of the owner Alex for more than 10 years. She is an excellent stylist! Alex is very attentive to her client’s hair needs and always ensures she delivers in giving you a great experience while at her salon. I’ve since moved away to California but when I return to NJ whether it’s once or twice a year, I always come back to Alex to get me right!
I give this two stars simply based on customer service. A blow out. Something you can realistically have done within an hour can turn into 3 or 4. Why you ask? That would be because majority of the women working their will stop working on their clients to go talk to someone else or to text and talk on their cellphones. Call me old fashioned but cellphones didn’t ever belong in the work place for reason presented here. You’d be able to assist more people if you just attended to the client in front of you. If a business is lacking in customer service it absolutely over shadows the great work that can be done. Alex’s Salon produced great work when the attention is there. Management should really take a look into this.
This place is amazing, I go there every weekend to get my hair done, I will get my hair done with everyone who works in this place, everyone does a very nice job! I love how they talk to me about the products that’s good for my hair. I had dark hair and went lighter I love how they went about the process of lighting my hair, little by little now I have very light undamaged hair. I love it! Their products are amazing, I don’t believe none of the bad reviews about this place and their products. I am very sure these people are just talented and with the help of good products my hair is healthy and still growing, will recommend to anyone! And everyone.
